The Pearl

The symbolism of the quote is about greed. It shows that when they finally got rid of the pearl it was over. The greed was gone. When the music had ended it gave up the danger, evil, and hope. They wont be attacked anymore and the hope for learning from Coyotito is gone too. The music is repeated throughout the story. But by throwing away the pearl they got rid of the music that was bringing along other assets. The pearl shows how even good things can have evil in them. But its not the object that makes it evil. The pearl itself is a beautiful thing. But it brings evil into the hearts of the people because of their greed.
